Marching Band Information

Hello Band Parents!

Although it was hot, it was a very successful summer band camp and we enjoyed getting to know our new members as well as catch up with our veteran members.  I speak for myself and the rest of the band boosters when I say that we are all very excited to start another year of great music and performances by The Wildcat Band.

There are a few things I wanted to mention. We will have a car wash on August 12th from 8 am to 12 pm to raise money for our program.  The car wash will be held at Mesquite. Tell your friends and family to stop by!

Our band booster meetings will be held on the 3rd Thursday of every month. We meet in the orchestra room at 6:30. All parents are welcome to join.  It’s a great way to be involved and get to know other band parents.

Volunteering!  I have spoken to several of you who would like to volunteer. There are SEVERAL ways we can use your help. Serving the band dinner before football games, helping push instruments on the field during half time or at competitions and filling waters for games and competitions are just a few examples. Donating snacks and flats of water are always appreciated too. Snacks or any food that is donated may not contain any nut products or include “may contain nuts” on the label. Thank you in advance for watching out for our kiddos with allergies. 😊

Lastly, we have been working all summer to re-establish our website www.wildcatband.org. It is up and running however it isn’t complete. It DOES have our calendar up to date with all the games and competitions listed. We hope to have a “store” up and running where you can purchase Wildcat Band merchandise and other items band students may need. I am Including a link to our fundraising page that will allow you to sign up for the Fry’s community program. The band earns money when you shop. 😁

I look forward to meeting all of you and working together to make this year amazing for our kids!  Feel free to contact me anytime with questions or concerns you may have.

Sincerely,
Trisha Kirby
